The Interchange Warehouse, which is Grade II listed, was converted to offices and refurbished in the late 1980s, retaining many of the original features and emphasizing the riveted steel columns. It was connected to Camden Lock Place (formerly Commercial Place) by the creation of steps through the retaining wall. In 2007 it was further restored, with many recent additions removed.

The basement warehouse on the east side, where rail sidings formerly ran, occupies an area of 1467 sq yds (1226 sq m). Adjoining it on the west side is the Interchange Basin, which runs under the main warehouse. Further west is a forecourt, where road vehicles (carts and vans) operated to collect goods for delivery around London. Beneath the forecourt and the adjoining building, Henson House (formerly railway offices), lie the Wine and Beer Vaults.  Vent openings in the wall alongside the towpath serve these underground vaults.

The pavement of Oval Road and Gilbey’s Yard reveals a number of historic features including the granite sett paving, rail lines, granite bollards, ventilation grilles to the horse tunnel below, a turntable and the frames of two large weighbridges.

The Interchange Warehouse is currently leased by Associated Press from its owners, the Labs Group, who also own Camden Markets.
